Hamilton Watch Co. was formed in 1892 in Lancaster (US) and made it's first watch in 1893. In 1957 Hamilton produced the world's first electric watch - the Ventura which become an instant success. On offer we have 1960 Hamilton classic Automatic Micro Rotor watch in 10K solid yellow gold case in very good condition (no dings) The case measures 34.5mm and is marked Hamilton 10K Gold Biggs. Dial is signed Hamilton, Automatic Swiss, has gold hour baton markers plus 12 & 6 arabic markers plus seconds sweep hand. Dial is in a fair condition for it's age - there is some patina and a small discoloration spot at 5 oclock but this does not detract from the overall good look of the watch. We did not get the dial refinished because we think original dial adds authenticity to the timepice. Beautiful and unusual Automatic 17J Micro Rotor movement (all automatic movements used in Hamilton brand watches were imported from Switzerland) is in a very good condition. Plexi is in excellent condition. Watch has a new, size 18 genuine black leather Swiss band & buckle. There is an inscription at the back of the watch. Gold Hamiltons are becoming quite rare nowadays and the Micro Rotors even more so. Overseas shipping by EMS or UPS only (at cost plus $4 for packing) Please note as the movement has to be removed through the top we have not any photos of the actual movement but we have included a photo of another Micro Rotor movement which is probably very similar if not indeed the same.
